Update v1.01b is out!
Heya there!
It's been very long overdue but there you go! So what's new with this minor update?
- Major alternative ending overhaul*, there will be actual consequences for a stubborn fellow.
- Minor cuts to... some of the boring parts.
- Bugfixes (no more errors after the playlist part) and code simplifications.
- Grammar & spelling error fixes. Special thanks to Kerche for helping me (check out his May Wolf VN here, he made a very somft wolf! uwu).
- Reduced file size, thanks .avif and .webp.
I didn't expect this small update to take this long. There was some IRL stuff I had to take care of first, but I think I'm back in the game.
Moonlit Field as it stands right now is a completed story for two of the major characters. I still want to develop the story a bit further by adding two in-game days, but please understand that it will not in any way change the start or the end of the story. It might fill the gap for those of you who felt like things ended a bit too quickly though. I'll work on it ASAP!

*SPOILERS TERRITORY - READ AT YOUR OWN RISK
If you've played Moonlit Field and got to the ending, you might notice a new character appeared, the Black Wolf. His presence in v1.0 of the story was only subtle, but I originally wanted to make him an integral part without breaking the dynamics of the two main characters.
I decided to make his presence stronger in the alternate ending. I just want to say that the main story is not just a simple flashback. I'm afraid I can't give more details in Moonlit Field, but one thing for sure is you will get the chance to meet him again in another chapter.
I can't wait for readers' reaction to it, so do give me your thoughts after getting the new alternate ending ^^

If you're referring to the alternate ending where you get MC's monologue followed by the unknown character, then I can only say that that could have happened.
But if you mean the main storyline, then yeah that's the canonical ending. In an ideal world, there's another path where things didn't end that way. But this ain't it, just like irl where unwanted things simply happen. That's the conclusion of MC's arc ^^
